Chaps and chapettes, Tweed Ride is back in the new year, with our first outing on Sunday 4 January 2015. We will convene at the Pavilion Cafe in Heaton Park, which has a delightful aspect overlooking the boating lake (unfortunately, we will be unable to row as the boats will be mothballed for the winter season) and, we hear, some rather smashing cakes. Meet at 1pm, and we’ll push off around 1.30pm. The Prestwich Pootlers will lead us into Manchester city centre, where we’ll stop off for some refreshments, as is tradition, and have a gentle pedal around.
If you’re in south Manchester, a ’nourishment’ ride to Heaton Park will depart from the Bike Hub at the Platt Fields boathouse ON THE DOT OF NOON.
