Time for Tweed! Ride this Saturday 6/10/2012 from 2pm…

Pip pip! It’s time to dig out your tweeds, we’re having another of our leisurely tweed rides this Saturday afternoon, the 6th of October. As ever, other clothing options are available, we think it’s more about the attitude than the attire.

The ride will start at the White Lion, Castlefield, M3 4NQ. It’s located between MoSI and the roman fort, and they have an outdoor seating area which is now covered. We’ll meet from 2pm, departing around 2.30pm for another gentle pootle around Manchester.

We’ll start by heading into central Manchester, taking in some of our fine ctiy’s well known places of interest and visiting some of the quirkier little gems too. Then we’ll head south past the University and through Rusholme so we can end the ride at the wonderful Victoria Baths… where there just so happens to be an Independent Beer Festival from 5.30pm until late! Entrance is £9+bf in advance or £11 on the door, but this includes a souvenir glass and some tokens. If enough people are interested I can ask the Friends of Victoria Baths if they can securely accommodate our steeds.

Return directions will be provided for those who wish to head back into central Manchester from Victoria Baths (or mid-ride if needed). The proposed route can be explored online here, or viewed below. Click on image to view full sized version.

Please get in touch using the contact form if you’re thinking about joining us this weekend, hope to see you then!
